An AI project planner for everyday projects
Most people already use an AI assistant to plan things. What goes missing is the plan itself: it lives in a dozen chats, with a dozen assistants, and none of them remembers the rest. PassTheBrief is one place for the whole project, whichever AI you use.
What it does
You keep one notebook. Each project in it holds what any assistant would need to carry on:
- A brief — the goal, where things stand, and what to do next.
- Tasks, each with the AI that suits it and a ready-made prompt.
- The work itself — the draft, the list, the answer each assistant produced.
- Decisions, so nobody reopens what is already settled.
How it works
- 1Start a project. Name what you are working on — a trip, a party, a renovation, a job hunt.
- 2Let any AI plan it. Copy the planning request into ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude, and answer its questions.
- 3Paste the answer back. The plan, the tasks, and a ready-made prompt for each task fill in by themselves.
- 4Hand each task to any AI. Copy a task's prompt into whichever AI suits it, and paste its work back. The next AI picks up where the last one left off — nobody explains the project again.
With any assistant, this is copy and paste: PassTheBrief copies what to hand over, and reads the reply when you paste it back. Claude and ChatGPT can also be connected so they read and save the notebook themselves. See the four steps.
What makes it different
- It works with every AI. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot — if it has a text box, it can work on your project.
- It keeps the work, not just the to-do list. A finished task holds what was actually produced, so the next assistant builds on it instead of doing it again.
- Nothing is lost. When work is replaced, the earlier version is kept and can be brought back. A mistake found later is added as a correction above the work, not quietly rewritten.
- You can see who did what. Every change is recorded with the name of the assistant that made it.
Good for
- Planning a trip — flights, where to stay, the days, the budget.
- A home renovation — quotes, materials, the order things happen in.
- An event — a birthday dinner, a reunion, a small wedding.
- Starting a small business — the name, the first customers, the paperwork.
- A job hunt — the CV, the cover letters, the interview preparation.
- Any project you move between ChatGPT and Claude.
What it is not (yet)
- Not an AI of its own. It works with the assistants you already use, on your own accounts.
- Not a team tool yet. A notebook belongs to one person for now.
- No file uploads yet — it keeps text: plans, drafts, lists and answers.
Questions
Do I need a paid AI subscription?
No. Copy and paste works with the free versions of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and others. Connecting ChatGPT directly may need a paid plan; connecting Claude works on every Claude plan.
How is this different from ChatGPT's or Claude's own memory and projects?
Those live inside one assistant. PassTheBrief sits outside them, so the same project can move between all of them — and you can see and edit exactly what each one is given.
Are my notes used to train AI?
No. Your notebook is private, and it is not sold or used for training. The privacy page explains exactly what is stored.
What does it cost?
Nothing while PassTheBrief is new. Paid plans may come later for teams and file uploads.
Try it with your own project
Free while PassTheBrief is new. Nothing to install — sign up with email or Google, and a short tour shows you the rest.
