Stuck, or something not doing what you expected? The usual questions are answered below, and a person reads every email.

Write to a person
Email hello@passthebrief.com. Say what you were trying to do, which assistant you were using, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps.
Connecting Claude or ChatGPT
Sign in, then open Connect and follow the steps for your assistant. You will see a PassTheBrief screen asking whether to let it in. Nothing is shared until you say yes there.
The assistant cannot see my notebook
Start a new conversation. An assistant picks up its tools when a conversation begins, so one that was already open before you connected will not know about your notebook.
Still nothing? Disconnect it on the Connect screen, connect again, and start another new conversation.
I signed in and my notebook is empty
Each email address has its own notebook. If you usually sign in with your email and password and this time used Google, or the other way round, you may have signed in to a different one. Sign out and use the one you used before.
An assistant changed something I did not want
Every change is recorded with the assistant’s name against it. Open the task or project and choose history to see who did what, and when. You can change it back yourself, or ask the assistant to.
No assistant can remove a project or a task. The most it can do is put one away, and only when you ask it to in that conversation. Anything put away is under “Put away” at the bottom of your notebook, and can be brought back.
Stopping an assistant
Disconnect it on the Connect screen. It loses access straight away. You can also remove it from the assistant’s own settings.
Closing your account
Write to hello@passthebrief.com from the email address you signed up with, and we will delete your notebook and your sign-in details. The privacy policy explains what that covers.
